The portable transporting device (10) according to the invention has a horizontally arranged, first transverse bar (12), to whose ends two arms (16, 18) are linked in each case. A joint bar (22; 28) is linked in each case to the lower ends of each arm (16; 18). These joint bars (22; 28) are connected to one another in an articulated manner in each case at their opposite sides. A second transverse bar (34) is provided between the joints (24, 30) connecting the arms (16, 18) to the associated joint bars (22; 28). A third transverse bar (36) is arranged between the joints (26, 32) connecting the opposite joint bars (22; 28).
