发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF FLUORESCENT CHARACTER DISPLAY TUBE
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent insulation deterioration for improving productivity by fixing a substrate glass, an electrode assembly and a spacer glass with low melting point glass followed by depositing display surface glass. CONSTITUTION:An electrode assembly 40 consisting of lead terminals 41, grid electrodes 42, filaments 43 and a getter 44 is placed on a substrate glass 1 to be held down by a spacer glass 2. Low melting point glass 3 of the melting point of 520 deg.C is welded in advance to the glasses 1 and 2 and a polymer for electrodeposition of the filaments 43 is decomposed in an assembled state in the atmosphere of 300 deg.C and next in the nitrogen atmosphere of 550 deg.C followed by melting the glass 3 to weld the glasses 1 and 2. A display surface glass, to which the low melting point glass having a melting point of 430 deg.C is welded, is placed thereon to form a vacuum container by heating. Thereby, there is almost no generation of CO when the electrode polymer is decomposed thus to prevent insulation deterioration. Further, in the case of a type having no exhaust pipe, a fixed jig of electrode assembly is not required thus to improve productivity.
