PURPOSE:To extend an incorporated function by operating a control circuit with a start signal outputted from a microcomputer and simultaneously starting a driving circuit and a light source driving circuit with the output signal of the control circuit. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 33 consists of transistors TRs 37 and 38, and a control signal is inputted to the TR 37 from a microcomputer 1, and the output signal of the TR 38 is inputted to a driving circuit 23. If the input/output port of the computer 1 is in the holding state, the output side of the circuit 33 goes to the low level and the driving circuit 32 is not operated, and a light source 42 connected to the TR 38 through a diode 46 is not lit. If the input/ output port is set to the operating state, the output side of the circuit 33 goes to the high level, and the circuit 33 is operated and the light source 42 is lit. Thus, a program registered in the computer 1 is simplified, and the function of a floppy disk device is extended without extending the computer.
