PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of construction work by providing a pneumatic float to produce a buoyancy enough to negate most of the weight of an object to be settled under water and a device having a pulling-up force greater than a value obtained by deducting a buoyancy from the weight of the object under water. CONSTITUTION:An underwater supporter for an object to be settled under water consists of a pneumatic float 2, an air supply and discharging device 3, a pulling-up device 4, and a supporting rope 5. The flexible float 2 is provided with air supply and discharge port 11 on its one end and also with a wire 15 tensed along the center line of inside. The float 2 is also connected to the device 4 through the rope 5. The device 3 is also connected to the float 2, to the second float 18 as the device 4, and to hoses 12 and 19. Under a condition that the floats 2 and 18 are deflected, air is supplied into the float 2 to reduce the weight of an object 1 to be settled, air is also supplied into the float 18, and the object 1 is lifted up from the water bottom and moved to a desired position.
