PROCESSING METHOD FOR SILVER HALIDE COLOR PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive material having high sensitivity and excellent pressure resistance as well while maintaining an excellent quick processability by applying a specific sensitization method to a specifically composed silver halide. CONSTITUTION:At least one layer of the silver halide emulsion layer contains the silver halide particles contg. >=80mol% silver chloride chemically sensitized in the presence of a silver halide solvent and unstable sulfur compd. The preferably usable silver halide particles are the silver halide particles contg. 80-99mol% silver chloride and have the high silver chloride phase constituting the greater particles of the particles and the high silver bromide phase localized to exist in or on the particles. The localized phase refers to the phase to exhibit the diffraction pattern in which the peak belonging to the high silver bromide phase can be distinctly discriminated from the peak belonging to the high silver chloride phase except the high silver bromide phase when the silver halide particles are analyzed by an X-ray diffraction method.
