PURPOSE:To obtain high slidability and abrasion resistance by composing a skid coat containing PVC system ingredients proportioned with a skid material in straight PVC in the constitution wherein the skid coat is formed on the slidably contacted surface of a glass run and groove bottom slidably contacted by a glass edge is composed of hard PVC. CONSTITUTION:In a glass run wherein skid coats 3 and 5 are formed on each slidably contacted surface of a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) base material 1, a groove bottom part slidably contacted by a glass edge is composed of hard PVC and other parts are composed of soft PVC, each of the skid coats 3 and 5 is composed of a PVC system coat ingredient prepared by proportioning a skid material in straight PVC. And said coats 3 and 5 are obtained for each slide contact surface in such a way that a coating material prepared by dissolving the same compound as the PVC coat ingredient of the material in an organic solvent is applied to each slidably contacted surface, using a spray gun, a dipping process, a roller and the like, and then the solvent is volatilized in the exposure thereof to room temperature.
