PURPOSE:To eliminate forming of a negative current collector, to reduce cost, and to simplify production by welding or melt-bonding a negative current collector to a lithium negative electorde. CONSTITUTION:A negative current collector is welded or melt-bonded to a lithium negative electrode. For example, a 0.1mm thick stainless ateel lead plate 2 is spot-welded to the center of a square lithium negative electrode 1 at several points. The lithium electrode 1 is wound one time to form a cylinder so that the welded lead plate 2 locates inside. A seaprator 3 made of polyprepylene nonwoven fabric sheet having wider dimension than that of the lithium electrode 1 is wrapped outside the lithium electrode 1, and they are inserted into the inside of a positive mix 5 pressed against the inside surface of a cylindrical positive can 4 in which a projection 4a serving as a positive terminal is formed in the bottom. Then, electrolyte is poured and a sealing plate 6, a negative terminal plate 7, an insulating gasket 8, and a heat-shrinkable tube 9 are assembled to form a bobbin type lithium battery. |
