PURPOSE:To aim at improvement in accuracy and efficiency for flattening, by pressing a rotating workpiece to a grindstone surface dispersedly holding plural pellet stones, and rocking the workpiece on an abrasive action surface. CONSTITUTION:A workpiece 1 is forcedly pressed onto a grindstone part 5 holding plural pellet stones in dispersion. This workpiece is rotated by a motor 19 in a guide body 20, and a turning part 7 having the motor 19 is rocked by the cylinder 21 installed in this guide body 20, then the workpiece 1 is rocked on a stone horizontal plane. Thus, since the workpiece 1 is subjected to combined motion by rotation and rocking motion, there are formed with cross hatching streaks with machining, so that a machined surface is finished into super precision and high efficiency. In addition, with the rocking motion, radial flatness of the stone surface is kept in uniformity and, what is more, discharge of chips or swarf becomes so easy owing to these pellet stones and scratches are eliminated. |
