PURPOSE:To make thickness of a flange to the possible thinnest extent, by attaching a pair of spacers in the same thickness tight onto top of the connecting flange installed in one side of the mutual connecting members in a cross direction of the flange, and making it so as to produce an inserting groove for a seal ring. CONSTITUTION:Spacers 6 and 6' are tightly attached to the top of a flange 2 of a box body 1 at an interval l on the whole circumference of the flange, and an inserting grove 3 for a seal ring 5 interposing between the flange 2 and a cover 4 of the box is installed between both these spacers. Each of these spacers 6 and 6' is formed with a metallic plate and a plastic plate or the like and locked by means of welding, brazing and adhesion by a bonding agent. Doling this, the flange and the cover or the like with the groove form their thickness into the thinnest possible extent, thus the promotion of lightweightiness and reduction in material cost are attainable.
