Cuboid stackable container

A cuboid stackable container is provided with foot pieces arranged below the corner regions of its bottom plate and with peripheral profiles around the region of the upper container edge. Welded onto the corner regions of these profiles are angle pieces which project beyond said profiles, form receiving pieces, located above the lid of the container, for the foot pieces and are flush therewith. In order to provide a container with a simple construction and with strength characteristics which correspond to those of containers with frame constructions, the bottom plate is provided with tab-like continuations to form a peripheral, U-shaped bottom profile as a part of a bending blank, which continuations are extended beyond their edges, are separated from one another by rectangular corner cutouts and whose adjacent regions and whose outer regions are bent inwards at right angles over lines parallel to the edges. In the corner regions, the end edges of the correspondingly cut-out continuations are welded together. The profiles of the upper container edge consist of a peripheral, U-shaped sheet-metal or profile piece whose two limbs are welded to the edge region of the side walls and whose upper limb forms the support for the container lid. <IMAGE>
