PURPOSE:To improve the effect of a reflected wave from the ground surface remarkably near a normal approach elevation of an aircraft, by emitting two vertical induction radio waves alternately to an approaching aircraft with a path difference imparted so that vertical multipath propagation waves will be opposite in the phase or in non-correlation concerning effect thereof. CONSTITUTION:It is to arranged that two vertical induction radio waves containing multipath propagation emitted alternately from antennas 6 are caught by a microwave landing system MLS receiver of an approaching aircraft receiving them as vertical measuring angle signal having errors almost in the opposite polarity alternately. The errors in this case correspond to the effect itself of multipath propagation waves caused by the reflection on the ground surface. It is natural that the errors should be reduced significantly by equalization. On the other hand, the vertical measuring angle signal with errors in the opposite polarity is determined based on the propagation path difference between he two vertical induction radio waves with a set beam center altitude.
