摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a compact CO2 laser oscillator having excellent cooling efficiency and mechanical efficiency by mounting guide plates made of an insulator to the flow of a laser gas on both sides of a discharge section. CONSTITUTION:Cathode pins 21 are fixed to an insulating plate 12 for a laser air duct 1, and guide plates 13 made of an insulator in the direction along the direction of a gas flow 4 are set up on both sides of the configuration space of the cathode pins 21. The gas flow 4 upstream sides of the guide plates 13 made of the insulator are extended obliquely toward the inner wall side of the laser air duct 1, the end sections of the gas flow 4 upstream sides are fastened to the inner wall surface of the laser air duct 1, and one part of the gas flow 4 is diverged to a space behind the guide plates 13 formed among the guide plates 13 and the inner wall of the laser air duct 1 in the upstream- side extending sections, and small holes 14 for lowering a gas temperature in said space are shaped. Accordingly, speed of a gas fluid flow does not vary, thus eliminating waste in the load of a blower, then improving the overall efficiency of a laser oscillator.
