PURPOSE:To feed sheet materials different in size to the next process at a fixed position by bringing a sucker provided on a film carrier into contact with a sheet material to be moved, and adsorbing and holding the sheet material after the sheet material is brought into contact with a contact portion. CONSTITUTION:A support plate 82 for sheet materials 100 in a cassette 28 is urged upward by a compression spring 86. A carrier 26 positioned on the top surface of the cassette is provided with a sucker 25 operated by a vacuum pump. When the carrier 26 is lowered at a point A by an air cylinder, the sucker 25 is brought into contact with the sheet materials 100, and the carrier 26 is moved to a point B in such a condition. The movement is caused by the frictional force between the sucker 26 and the sheet materials 100. During the carrier's movement from the point A to the point B, when the sheet material 100 is brought into contact with a contact portion 99, the movement of the sheet material 100 is stopped, and only the sucker is moved to the point B. At the point B, the sheet material is adsorbed and held by the sucker through the vacuum pump. Accordingly, the sheet materials are delivered to the next process always at a fixed position.
