PAPER SHEET GRIP AND TRANSFER APPARATUS

The appts. comprises a stack unit for accommodating a batch of paper sheets and for stacking them in a bundle. A half-wrapper unit for the bundle is mounted adjacent to the stack unit, the apparatus conprising a movable member mountable in alignment with the stack and half-wrapping units. Mounted opposite the halfwrapper unit itself is an edge alignment plate. The member has a transfer chuck device adapted for being opened or closed and capable of chucking from the side of the half-wrapping unit a bundle of paper sheets placed in the stack unit.
