PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. which has excellent impact resistance, heat distortion temp. and flow characteristics and gives moldings having good dimensional accuracy, by blending a resin consisting of an arom. polyester and a specified polyarylate with a copolymer having glycidyl groups. CONSTITUTION:A bisphenol of formula I (wherein X is O, S, SO2, CO or a 1-10C hydrocarbon group; R1, R2, R3, R4, R'1, R'2, R'3 and R'4 are each H, halogen or a hydrocarbon group) is polymerized with terephthalic acid and/or isophthalic acid to obtain a polyarylate (b) having a reduced viscosity (0.5% in O-chlorophenol at 25 deg.C; the same applies herein below) of 0.2-1.5dl/g. 100pts. wt. resin consisting of 95-30wt% arom. polyester (a) having a reduced viscosity of 1.0-2.5dl/g (e.g., polybutylene terephthalate) and 5-70wt% component (b) is blended with 1-80pts.wt. copoplymer (B) having glycidyl groups, composed of an alpha-olefin (c) and glycidyl ester of an alpha,beta-unsaturated acid (d) of formula II [wherein R is H or a (lower alkyl- or glycidyl ester group-substd.) lower alkyl].
