PURPOSE:To attain the optimum KANA (Japanese syllabary)/KANJI (Chinese characters) converting system where the learning contents of frequently used words are never erased, by updating the storage when coincidence is secured between the learning contents corrected once to correct descriptions with reference with the memory contents. CONSTITUTION:An input means contains a no-conversion key with which a user corrects the converted KANJI-KANA description into the KANA description. While a no-conversion correction/register means stores the contents of operation corrected by the no-conversion key. The stored contents of corrected operation are used to correct previously the display of conversion for display when the inputs of the same Japanese rendering are available after registration on said register means. When the display of conversion is corrected and displayed, the storage is carried out again. Thus it is possible to attain an effective KANA/KANJI converting system where the result of conversion desired by an operator is easily obtained with no operation of the no-operation key carried out by the operator for correction to the KANA description.
