Method and device for sealing data on card-like data media, particularly identity cards, comprised of a plurality of individual layers arranged on top of each other to form a synthetic material laminate. For the inscription of the identity card, a liquid is used which rapidly hardens under the effect of an electromagnetic radiation in a predetermined wavelength range, generally ultra-violet radiation (UV rays), and which consequently envelopes and encloses the colour pigments applied to the card surface at the same time as the liquid, thereby preventing them from getting worn out due to friction. Said colour pigments form the inscription on the card. |
