PURPOSE:To develop a transparent pattern, by a method wherein a thermoplastic synthetic resin made cylindrical container having a satinized surface is clamped between a heated roller and supporting rollers, is rotated, and a part of the surface of the container is melted in correspondence with an engraved relief pattern. CONSTITUTION:The cylindrical container 5 having an outside peripheral surface entirely satinized to be a minutely roughened surface is placed between the suporting rollers 3 and a silicone roller 1, a heat-resistant film 6 is placed between the container 5 and the silicone roller 1, and the rollers 1, 3 are rotated. As a result, only an engraved relief pattern part 4 of the roller 1 is brought into contact with the container 5 through the film 6, whereby a part 7 of the container 5 is melted in correspondence with the pattern part 4. In this case, since the heat-resistant film 6 is intermediately provided, the surface of the melted part of the container 5 becomes smooth and transparent, so that the container 5 is decorated with a relief-like transparent pattern 7. |
