PURPOSE:To facilitate the identification of recording waveforms, by making types of scale marks at normal recording of input signal waveforms differ from that at recording of computing waveforms. CONSTITUTION:First, channel memories 2a-2d intended for recording are selected and writing data are sent to a driver circuit 5b. Then, according to a pitch number, a dotted data, either vertical or horizontal scale mark (A) or (B), is sent to a circuit 5b from a rule memory section 6 and a printing element of a recording head 5a is driven to perform a dot recording on a recording paper P. Computing data of the memory 2c is also sent out to the circuit 5b at each one feed pitch of the recording paper P and a dotted data as horizontal scale mark B is sent to the circuit 5b, too. In this manner, the vertical scale mark (A) is recorded in a dotted line while the horizontal scale mark (B) in a solid line. This facilitates the identification between input signal waveforms and computing waveforms.
