PURPOSE:To superimpose a measurement point and a measured luminance value in a peripheral background by installing a transmission type liquid crystal plate which displays the measurement point and measured luminance value and a lamp which blinks associatively with the opening/closing operation of a shutter in a finder optical system. CONSTITUTION:Light incident on an objective group 1 is split by a half-mirror 2 to two optical paths, which are guided to an incidence mask 7 through a lens group 6. The optical path length of this optical system is so determined as to form the image of an object on the incidence mask 7. Light passed through the incidence mask 7 is converted by a photoelectric transducer 8 into an electric signal corresponding to the luminance of a part limited by the incidence mask 7 and the signal is amplified by a preamplifier 13, converted by an A/D converter 14, and displayed on the display part 17 of the liquid crystal plate 11. When the shutter 4 is open, the light passes through the lens group 3 and then the shutter 4 to be made incident on a film 5. At this time, the measurement point 16 and luminance value are displayed on the liquid crystal plate 11 and a display 17 respectively; and the measured value is held and the lamp 12 is turned on right before the shutter 4 is opened, thereby projecting the peripheral background and the luminance value on the surface of the film 5.
