PURPOSE:To decrease the noises caused by the shift of a head carriage by attaching two guide rails through which the head carriage is moved and a step motor which drives the head carriage to a frame via a polymer sheet such as the silicone rubber, elastomer, etc. CONSTITUTION:Two guide rails 2 through which a head carriage 1 is moved and a step motor 3 which drives the carriage 1 are fixed to a frame 7 via a polymer sheet 6 such as the silicone rubber, elastomer, etc. This sheet 6 has the extremely large loss compared with the metallic materials like aluminum, stainless steel, etc., used to the motor 3 and the rails 2. Thus the vibrations of the sheet 6 are suppressed by the loss of the sheet 6 and not transmitted to the frame 7 easily. This decreases the vibrations of the frame 7 caused by the shift of the carriage 1.
