Non-woven materials coated with a vinyl - resin particularly laminates

These laminates consist of (a) a non-woven sheet made of continuous nylon filaments arranged at random and bonded to each other by autogenous bonds (i.e. without external bonding agent) in a considerable number of inter-secting points and (b) a film comprising either a vinyl chloride homopolymer or a copolymer containing at least 50 wt.% of vinyl chloride which is copolymerised with one or several other suitable monomers. This film impregnates the non-woven sheet at least partially and in so doing mechanically fixes portions of the nylon filaments in its mass.
