A bakery oven comprises a heating chamber (1) bounded by generally vertical walls (2, 3, 4, 5), a plurality of hot air supply apertures (7) situated in two opposing walls (2, 4) and a fan (6) for circulating air in the oven. The arrangement is such that hot air is distributed through the hot air supply apertures, flows over and around goods to be baked on the shelves of the rack (8) and is returned for recirculation via those walls (3, 5) which do not contain hot air supply apertures. |
