PURPOSE:To suppress the flickering of display and to display rapidly a precise value by changing a display updating period in accordance with a difference between sampling data and display data and the number of times of display updating. CONSTITUTION:The output of a voltage sensor 1 is latched 3 by a latch circuit 3 at every prescribed sampling period and a difference W between the held data X and the display data Y of a latch circuit 6 which corresponds to a current display value is detected by a comparator 4 together with a positive or negative code. An adder 7 determines an addition value C in accordance with the results discriminating whether the difference W is more than a prescribed value S or not and whether the number of times of display updating is more than a reference value K for the number of times of display updating. In this case, a comparator 9 compares the reference value A with an accumulated addition value of the 1st counter 8, and when the accumulated addition value reaches the value A, new data Y are displayed on a display unit 5 through the latch 6. When the number of times of the display updating is counted by the 2nd counter 10 and the counted value reaches the value K, the change of the addition value C is instructed from the comparator 11 to the adder 7.
