Caravan roof cover with an extension device, with a profiled frame which engages over the roof opening and is inserted therein and with a roof cover which is connected to the frame by means of a hinge in an articulated fashion so as to be capable of pivoting out and in, and with means which can be actuated manually and/or by motor for pivoting out or in and for fixing the cover in an open or closed position, a first guide rail (3) which extends transversely over the surface of the frame (1) being attached in the region of the lower edge (2) of the profiled frame (1) and a second guide rail (4) which protrudes from the underside (6) of the top (7) of the cover downwards at a distance which increases in the direction (8) of the hinge (9) being attached on the cover (5), and a carriage-like slide (10) being arranged guided in a displaceable fashion in the first guide rail (3) as actuation means and being movably guided with a guide cam (11) which is constructed on it so as to project towards the second guide rail (4) and engages in the said rail (4). <IMAGE>
