PURPOSE:To lighten the burden of a central processing unit and a service processor, in case when an error is detected, by constituting so that the service processor executes logging of a state of a channel device. CONSTITUTION:When a service processor 3 receives a logging request (a) from a channel device 2, a logging processing part 31 executes logging. Subsequently, an analyzing part 32 analyzes a data and decides a kind of its error. In case of a machine check interruption, it is informed to a CPU1 from the processor 3, but in other case, an interruption processing part 22 of the channel device 2 is operated so that an interruption request is generated to a CPU2. The channel device 2 generates an interruption request to the CPU1 after ending the logging processing to the processor 3, and waits for an instruction for reissue of an input/output instruction from the CPU1. On the other hand, the CPU1 issues an input/output instruction for ending the error processing in accordance with a kind of an input/output instruction which is being processed, while it is waiting for information of a normal end from the channel device 2 which issues the input/output instruction. |
