PURPOSE:To reduce the number of wirings and to emit not only a plurality of colors but intermediate colors by forming a board for forming a light emitting diode of a board for emitting different colors, approaching them to integrate them, and applying the same potential thereto. CONSTITUTION:A substrate is formed of an N-type semiconductor of GaP for emitting a green color, and an LED chip 2a is formed of the semiconductor. The substrate is also formed of a P-type semiconductor of GaAlAs for emitting a red color, and an LED chip 2b is formed of the substrate. Thereafter, a plurality of chips for emitting different colors are disposed while approaching the substrate, the substrate, the substrate is connected with leads 4a for insulating and passing a stem 1, the surface wirings 3 of the chips 2a, 2b are connected together with leads 4b which pass the stem 1 similarly, and the chips are coated with an enclosure 5. Thus, the chips are selected according to the voltage polarity applied to the leads 4a, 4b, and the intermediate color is psychologically recognized by the application of a pulse voltage. |
