PURPOSE:To manufacture a superior composite sliding material at a low cost by spreading powder for an adhesive layer contg. no solid lubricant over a metallic strip, sintering the powder to form an adhesive layer, spreading powder for a surface layer contg. a solid lubricant over the adhesive layer, sintering the powder and carrying out rolling. CONSTITUTION:Powder for an adhesive layer contg. no solid lubricant, e.g., 10%Sn-Cu alloy powder 3 of 80-120mesh is spread over a metallic strip 1 uncoiled from an uncoiler A with the 1st spreader 2. The powder is sintered in the 1st sintering furnace 4 to form an adhesive layer. Powder for a surface layer contg. a solid lubricant, e.g., 10% graphite-10%Sn-Cu alloy powder 6 is directly spread over the surface of the adhesive layer with the 2nd spreader 5. The strip 1 is then passed through the 2nd sintering furnace 7, a rolling mill 8 and the 3rd sintering furnace 9 and the resulting composite sliding material 10 is coiled around an uncoiler B. |
