PURPOSE:To close a desired pattern without fail at an apex by a solid line by drawing the pattern at a part that has an integer multiple of the segment length L of another pattern and then drawing a part of the desired pattern and a solid line along the segment length L' shorter than the length L. CONSTITUTION:A start point A (coordinates X0, Y0) is connected to an end point B (coordinates X1, Y1) via an alternate long and short dash line as shown in a figure (a). In this case, a single unit of the alternate long and short dash line consists of lines I, II and III set along an axis X as shown in a figure (b). These lines I-III have coordinates (x1, 0), (x2, 0) and (x3, 0) at both ends respectively. Then the pattern data on the alternate long and short dash line is shown in a figure (c). If the line connecting both points A and B crosses the axis X at an angle theta, the alternate long and short dash line is turned by thetaas shown in a figure (d). Here the lines I-III have their both-end coordinates (x1', y1')/(x2', y2'), (23', y3')/(x4', y4') and (x5') and (y5') respectively. Then the pattern data on the alternate long and short dash line is shown in a figure (e) after rotation. |
