<p>PURPOSE:To selectively discharge a recording paper in face-up or face-down state by forming a transport passage for transporting the recording paper in reversal and a transport passage for transporting the recording paper free from reversal and installing a detection means for detecting the Properties of the recording paper on the upstream side and selecting one among the transport passages in accordance with the result of the detection. CONSTITUTION:A recording paper 3 sent from a cassette 4 is nipped by a transport roll 21d, and transported to a timing roll 17. Though the top edge of the recording paper 3 contacts with the timing roll 17 in stop state, deflection is gradually formed by the continuous revolution of the transport roll 21d. Said deflection does not turn a detection lever in case of the paper having the ordinary toughness and a photoswitch is not operated. Therefore, a selecting means 7 is not operated, and the recording paper 3 is discharged in face-down state into the first loading part 6 through transport rolls 21b and 21c. In case of the recording paper 3 having a large toughness, the deflection operates the detection lever and the photoswitch and turns the selecting means 7, and the recording paper 3 is discharged straightly in face-up state into the second loading part 5.</p> |
