PURPOSE:To delete the phase distortion in the high density recording by traveling relatively the ring type magnetic head along the inclination of the orientation of the magnetic layer to the magnetic recording media having the magnetic layer oriented in the slanting direction to the substrate. CONSTITUTION:The ring type magnetic head to use a magnetic recording media 7 having a magnetic layer 8 oriented in the slanting direction to a substrate 1, to have a necessary operating magnetic gap (g) in the magnetic circuit to this, to execute the magnetic recording by the magnetic field formed at the operating magnetic gap (g) part, to pick up the signal magnetic field on the magnetic recording media 7 and to execute the reproduction is traveled in the direction along the inclination of the orientation of the magnetic layer 8 of the magnetic media 7, and recording and reproducing are execyted. Thus, the reproducing output by the magnetization of the horizontal component of the magnetic media 7 comes to be the negative output shown by a chain line 11 and the reproducing output waveform by the sum with the output due to the vertical component of the magnetization shown by a broken line 12 comes to be the symmetrical waveform as shown by an actual line 13. Consequently, the phase distortion in the high density recording is deleted. |
