PURPOSE:To prevent the slip on a bad road by securing the smooth acceleration by detecting the operation of a road-state judging means in resume operation and controlling the fuel flow rate to an optimum value, in a car which controls the automatic constant-speed traveling by an electronic controller. CONSTITUTION:During the constant-speed control in which a main switch 20 is in turned-ON state, the signal of a car-speed sensor 10 is read into an electronic controller 13. Then, a set switch 21 is turned-ON, and the car speed at that time point is read in as set car-speed. When a brake pedal 17 is stepped in, it is checked if the constant-speed control is temporarily released or not, and when a resume switch 22 is turned-ON in case of temporary release, constant-speed control is restored. If a road-state representing switch 18 is in turned-ON state, the traveling on a bad road is judged. Then, an instruction is transmitted to a throttle controller 15 from an input/output port 13d, and fuel is jetted into an engine 1, and the traveling in constant-speed control is permitted.
