摘要 The object of the invention is the set up or adjustment during a controlled braking of a vehicle wheel of a braking slip value for which on the one hand the adherence coefficient mu in the longitudinal direction is closed to the maximum value which may be reached and, on the other hand, a sufficient adherence coefficient is obtained in the transversal direction. Said slip value is under the value for which the adherence coefficient in the longitudinal direction is maximum. While for the maximum adherence coefficient in the longitudinal direction the braking slip curve theta ( lambda ) has a zero gradient, it has positive gradients for the set up or adjusted slip value. In addition to the advantage of increased lateral guiding forces, the disclosed method offers the possibility of accurately limiting the yawing moment exerted on the vehicle during a controlled braking and thus improve the controllability of the vehicle.
