Control circuit for a brushless electric motor is further developed so as to have the number of revolutions of the motor higher than the value corresponding to the mains frequency. The phase cutting is produced several times during one mains period, and the current pulses thus obtained are transmitted to the stator winding (S) in the direction of the generation of opposite magnetic poles (N/S).
