A cable rack has arms whose height is adjustable continuously on vertical posts or stands having a T-profile or double-T-profile and which can be clamped firmly, each of which is provided with a retaining element which is arranged at the end, has an essentially U-shaped cross-section and is arranged such that it engages around the flange of the post or stand on one side, and to which there is allocated, in the region of the other flange side, a clamping element which likewise engages around the flange, is mounted on the arm and is of approximately U-shaped cross-section. In order to make possible a screwless joint between the arms and the posts or stands in a simple, time-saving manner using a minimum of loose individual parts, the arrangement is designed in such a manner that the clamping element is constructed in the form of a U-shaped spring bracket whose limbs are clamped in a prestressed manner onto the flange and a supporting part of the arm at the end.
