摘要 PURPOSE:A novel catalyst, consisting of an optically active ligand having axial asymmetry and anionic polymerization initiator, and capable of giving an optically active high polymer by polymerizing a polymerizable monomer. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst obtained from an optically active ligand, having axial asymmetry, and expressed by formulas I-III [Ar and Ar' are 6-14C aromatic hydrocarbon; R1, R2 and R3 are H, 1-20C hydrocarbon (which may contain an aromatic hydrocarbon); m and p are 0-4; n is 1-5], e.g. N-(2'''- dimethylaminoethyl)-4',1''-dimethyl-2,7-dihydro-3,4,-5,6-dibenzazepine], and an anionic polymerization initiator, e.g. Al(C2H5)3 or LiAlH4. USE:Useful as a catalyst for asymmetric anionic polymerization and asymmetric ring opening polymerization of a polymerizable monomer. The resultant optically active high polymer is used as a separating agent of high performance.
