The invention relates to a device for shutting off a coaxial conduit consisting of an inner tube and an outer tube and having connection pieces for these tubes arranged on the inlet and outlet side of the housing. In the closed position of the switching element, at least one of the two connection pieces for the outer tubes is closed in a leak-tight manner by a closure plate of the switching element whereas, in the open position, the connection pieces for the inner tubes are connected, preferably in a sealed-off manner, by a conduit tube of the switching element.
