PURPOSE:To produce an ingot having high quality with high efficiency an stabil ity for a long period of time by using a casting mold of which the inside surface side is formed of graphite or carbide ceramics and the outside is formed of oxide or nitride ceramics to execute casting under heating. CONSTITUTION:The inside surface side 9 of the casting mold 1 which casts continuously the ingot by heating the inside surface of the mold to the m.p. of the casting metal or above, supplying the molten metal into the mold from one end and drawing out the ingot from the other end is formed of the graphite or carbide ceramics and the outside 10 thereof is formed of the oxide or nitride ceramics. SiC, TiC or ZrC is used as the carbide ceramics, MgO, Al2O3 or ZrO as the oxide ceramics and SiN as the nitride ceramics. The ingot having high quality is produced stably for a long period of time with high efficiency by using such casting mold. |
