PURPOSE:To eliminate the effect of the change in temp. to optical density, by performing reaction by dripping a sample to a measuring element impregnated with a reagent and keeping the temp. of a light receiving constant when optical density is detected by irradiating photometric light. CONSTITUTION:A measuring element 2 impregnated with a reagent is successively inserted in a disc. Next, the disc is rotated at every one pitch to transfer the measuring element 2 to a sample dipping part where a sample is dripped to perform reaction and the measuring element 2 is subsequently transferred to a photometry part. Photometric light is generated from a light source 54 to irradiate the measuring element 2. The reflected light from the measuring element 2 is incident to a light receiving element 60 through an optical fiber 59 and the concn. of a substance is calculated by a signal processing circuit 84 consisting of a current/voltage converter 81, an optical densitometer 82 and a converter 83. At this time, the light receiving element 60 or the signal processing circuit 84 is contacted with a thermostatic tank holding the measuring element 2 to constant temp. so as to be held to constant temp. therefore, optical density can be analyzed with high accuracy by eliminating effect due to temp. |
