PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of mis spark, by a method wherein, during low speed rotation of an engine, a capacitor is connected in parallel to an ignition plug, and the demand secondary voltage of the ignition plug is reduced through delay of the rise time of a secondary voltage generated on the secondary side of an ignition coil. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor 5 having the one end earthed is connected through a relay 4 to the terminal of a secondary winding 2 of an ignition coil 10, and the relay 4 is opened and closed for control by means of a suspension volume control device 8. The control device 8 is connected to a terminal on the minus side of a primary winding 1 of the ignition coil 10, and includes a F-V converter 81 which generates a voltage responding to an ignition period. When the output of the converter 81 is reduced to lower than a reference voltage for setting the number of revolutions for switching a suspension volume during low speed rotation of an engine, a comparator 84 outputs an H-signal to close the realy 4. A demand secondary voltage is reduced through delay of the rise time of a secondary voltage generated by the ignition coil 10 through opening and closing of the relay 4 and this prevents the occurrence of flash over. |
