Reciprocating hydropneumatic pump which is operated by a combination of two cylinders of different diameters 3 and 4, that is an actuator system, in which two integrally formed pistons 2a, 2 coupled by a connecting rod 1 define four expandable chambers 3-4, the first cylinder driving in its two halves 3 separated by a double action piston 2a and the small pump cylinder (water) 4 also functioning in two chambers with one piston. The whole assembly functioning with compressed air by way of a distributor switch 22 and two three-way pressure reducing valves 21 (one inlet admission and one discharge) to impart the reciprocating movement to the pistons (motor and pump), the connecting rod 1 being lubricated by water. <IMAGE>
