PURPOSE:To prevent inadvertent outflow of soil specimen held in a sample storage tube, by making a plug body put in the tip opening of the sample storage tube contract itself with a liquid pressure to close the tip opening. CONSTITUTION:A sample storage tube 23, a plug body 24, a sand sample 27 and the like are provided. Then, an inner tube 18 sticks out of the lower end opening of an outer tube 1 to be forced into a sand soil and the sample 27 is packed and held into the storage tube 23 through the plug body 24 from the opening of a shoe 19. Subsequently, a piston 9 stops reaching the lower end of the outer tube 1 and as a through hole 10 matches a smaller diameter section 7 to form a clearance therebetween, a pressure liquid in the outer tube 1 flows between the inner tube 18 and a sampling tube 22 and further into the shoe 19 to have the pressure thereof act on the outer side of the plug body 24. Then, a rod 8 is released from the fixation and lifted slightly and the plug body 24 contracts itself inward with the pressure working on the outer surface thereof to close the lower end opening of the storage tube 23. Thus, the sample 27 can be taken positively without flowing out inadvertently. |
