PURPOSE:To prevent a picture recording position from shifting by providing a press contact means stopping a tip of a recording material fed in the tangential direction of a recording drum to a prescribed position, a clip to lock the tip of recording material to the peripheral of the recording drum and a negative pressure absorbing means absorbing the recording material to the peripheral of the recording drum so as to attain accurate recording material fitting position. CONSTITUTION:When a tip of a sensing material 16 passes between sensors 36 and 38, a controller activates a motor 34 for a prescribed time only from the passing position of the sensors 36, 38, then stops the motor. The cut-off tip of the sensing member 16 is pressed into contact onto a step 44 of an exposure drum 18 at the stop position. When the sensing member 16 is fed by a prescribed quantity from feed rollers 30, 32, the cut-off tip is pressed into contact onto the step 44 of the exposure drum 18 and a broadwise direction intermediate part enters between a flat part 42 and a retaining plate 47. Then when the excitation of a solenoid 70 is lost, since a roller 57 is detached from the clip 50, a projection arm 52 of the clip 50 approaches the flat part 42 by the energyzing force of a plate spring 54 to clip the broadwise direction both ends at the tip of the sensing member 16 with the flat part 42.
