PURPOSE:To prevent response delay by transmitting an announcing tone to a called telephone set in case of an incoming message in an automatic exchange. CONSTITUTION:When a subscriber 4 makes a call for message incoming to a subscriber 1 and listens to a call tone returned from a call trunk 8 and dials a special number for message incoming and a called subscriber number, a central controller 5' allows message incoming processing when message incoming permitting information (m) is stored in a subscriber information area 31. Then subscriber numbers n1, n2 are stored in a message incoming registration area 32 to control a subscriber circuit 10 for the called subscriber 1 via a signal line 13 thereby transmitting a short time call signal to a telephone set for the subscriber 1 as an anouncement tone of the message incoming. Then a message incoming display light 2 is lighted. |
