摘要 PURPOSE:To restrain shocks by an engine, by supplying fuel into an intake-air system from a fuel injection means upon generation of a fuel cut signal to gradually reduce the supply amount of fuel with the elapse of time, and by setting fuel cut valves their cut-off positions during this time. CONSTITUTION:There is provided a fuel cut instructing means 7 for delivering a fuel cut signal in a predetermined fuel cut range in which a throttle valve 2 is returned to its low opening degree range during running of a vehicle, and a fuel cut releasing signal in a ranged which is shifted substantially from the above-mentioned range. Upon generation of the fuel cut signal a fuel cut initiating means 8 actuates a fuel injection means 4 for a predetermined time in such a manner that the discharge amount of auxiliary fuel is gradually decreased, while fuel cut valves 5, 6 are closed. Further, upon generation of the fuel cut releasing signal a fuel cut releasing means 9 actuates the fuel injection means 4 in such a manner the discharge amount of fuel is gradually increased, while the valves 5, 6 are closed.
