PURPOSE:To improve and stabilize output efficiency by discharging electricity among each mirror constituting a resonator and exciting a laser medium gas by the discharge. CONSTITUTION:An output from a high-frequency power supply 30 is applied between a front mirror 10 as a partial reflecting mirror and a rear mirror 20 as a total reflection mirror constituting an optical resonator, and AC discharge is conducted between these mirrors 10, 20. That is, the mirrors 10, 20 are worked as discharge electrodes, and a laser medium gas is excited by discharge between the mirrors 10, 20. A plane mirror and a concave mirror each made of a metal are used as said mirrors 10 and 20 in the practical example. |
