PURPOSE:To achieve effective silencing of exhaust gas noises while making drainage, by connecting a silencing member made of a porous material offering both penetratability and hydration for moisture to a vent hole for ejecting condensed moisture in exhaust gas, in a waste heat recovery unit. CONSTITUTION:In a waster heat recovery unit 9, the steam contained in exhaust gas is condensed after making heat exchange with the water in a water jacket 10 and the condensed moisture reaches a small silencer 20 from a vent hole 17 via a hose 19, The small silencer 20 catches a part of condensed moisture by means of a porous material 20 a packed therein and allows another part to flow down outward via a hose 21. Since the porous material 20a can offer both penetratability and hydration for moisture, all of the condensed moisture can not be allowed to flow down but partly caught moisture shows a damping effect on the noise and thus the exhaust noise of the exhaust gas going to be ejected together with the condensed moisture can be effectively absorbed for silencing.
