PURPOSE:To smoothly restart an operation-interrupted winding machine without providing an expensive travel speed detecting means by annexing a signal holding means during the standstill to a reservoir quantity adjusting means provided on a material storing device such as a dancer roller. CONSTITUTION:When a winding machine in operation is temporarily stopped for some reasons, a signal holding means 21 during the standstill stores the adjusting signal outputted by a dancer roller position adjuster 15 just before stoppage. Therefore, when the winding machine restarts the operation, this stored adjusting signal is applied to an adder 16. Then, a sum of an incoming speed command signal A and an adjusting signal just before stoppage is fed to a speed control unit 17. Thereby, a winding motor 6 is restarted operating at an adequate rotating speed, thus no speed difference occurs between the input side and the output side of the dancer roll 4, and the operation can be continued as is. Accordingly, the operation can be smoothly restarted without providing a travel speed detecting means, and the cost can be reduced. |
