Large-capacity metal self-locking trestle, for cutting wood with various motor saws. It is composed of a trestle 6 whose upper X forms an angle of 90 DEG extended inwards, on either side, by a V 11 allowing sawing without wedging the chain and allowing wood to be cut into lengths shorter than 50 cm. The V's 11 are fixed to the pin 15 joining the uprights in pairs. It consists in immobilising the wood 1 using a chain 2 equipped with claws 3 which has, on the one hand, its attachment point fixed to a ring 4 which can move on the cross-member 5 and, on the other hand, on itself via a hook 14 after having gone round the spindle 13 of the pedal 7 resting on the cross-member 10. By pressing on the pedal 7, there is self-locking. The spread of the trestle 6 is limited at its base by the two link chains 9. The four feet of the trestle 6 are equipped with shoes 8. <IMAGE>
