PURPOSE:To make it possible to accurately grasp the temp. distribution state of a subject as a whole, by setting two different display temp. regions and synthesyzing the images of said two temp. regions to display the same. CONSTITUTION:The picture element data obtained from an A/D converter 5 comes to a temp. region indicated by a central temp. indication circuit 14a and a temp. width indication circuit 15a and stored in memory 5a while the picture element data obtained from the A/D converter 5 comes to a temp. region indicated by a central temp. indication circuit 14b and a temp. width indication circuit 15b and stored in memory 5b. Hereinbelow, the content of each memory is rewritten at every vertical scanning in the perfectly same way. The picture element data of two temp. regions stored in the memories 5a, 5b are read by reading circuits 6a, 6b to be displayed on a display apparatus 11 as a color image and a white and black image.
